Dr. Anna Berga Timoneda is a Full Professor at Ramon Llull University and Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She serves as Vice President of Research and Vice-Dean of Research at the Faculty of Social Education and Social Work Pere Tarrés - URL. With a career spanning since 1993, she has held leadership roles including Vice-Rector for International and Student Relations (2010-2012), Secretary General (2012-2023), and President of the 'Women and Science' Commission of the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia (2013-2023).

Her research focuses on gender and diversity, social inequalities, at-risk youth, and qualitative methodologies. Recent work explores gender equality policies in higher education, care ethics in leadership, and immigrant youth vulnerability.
Her publications (36 total) span gender equality frameworks, humanities renewal, and migrant youth integration, with 15 most recent outputs from 2004-2024. She leads projects like 'Preservació familiar d’infants en alt risc social' (2024) and 'Menors migrants no acompanyats a Catalunya' (2008).
Anna co-directs the Grup de Recerca Innovació i Anàlisi Social and contributes to national/international policy through roles in the Strategic Plan for Gender Equality Policies (2019-2022) and the National Youth Plan 2010-2020.
