Anna Berekmeri

Dr. Anna Berekmeri is a Dermatology Clinical Research Fellow at the School of Medicine, University of Leeds, Faculty of Medicine and Health. She is based at Chapel Allerton Hospital and is actively involved in clinical and translational research focused on inflammatory skin diseases, particularly severe hand eczema and psoriasis.

Her research aims to refine diagnostic pathways using novel techniques such as tape stripping and optical coherence tomography (OCT), integrating molecular, microbial, and clinical data to better classify disease subtypes.

Dr. Berekmeri earned her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Târgu Mureș, Romania, completed dermatology training in the EU between 2013–2016, and obtained board certification in Dermatology in 2016.
