Anna Amalia Fermus-Bobowiec

Dr. Anna Amalia Fermus-Bobowiec is an Assistant Professor at the Department of State and Law History, Faculty of Law and Administration, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, Poland. She has been a research and teaching employee since October 2002, advancing to her current position in 2008 after earning her law doctorate.

Education:

• Graduate in Law from UMCS's Faculty of Law and Administration (2002), recipient of a distinction diploma and the 100,000th UMCS diploma awarded by President Aleksander Kwaśniewski.

Research Focus: Her work centers on the history of legal institutions, particularly civil law structures in 19th-20th century Poland, with recent emphasis on housing law and legal frameworks during the People's Republic of Poland. She conducted research internships at the University of Warsaw (2019, 2022) and Sorbonne University (2019).
