Dr. Tomasz Demendecki is a Professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, Poland, affiliated with the Department of Civil Procedure and International Trade Law. He holds a habilitated doctorate in legal sciences and has been employed at UMCS since 2001.

- Postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in Law (2016, UMCS)
His research focuses on civil procedural law, including international and comparative aspects, and the structure of legal protection agencies. He leads the Center for Comparative Research on Legal Procedures and has held research internships at universities in Minsk, Pilzno, Vilnius, and Lviv. His professional experience includes roles as a court bailiff (2014-2018), lawyer (2012-2018), and expert in civil procedure and economic law.
He serves as a reviewer for the National Centre for Research and Development and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education's Diamond Grant program. Consultation hours are available via Microsoft Teams every Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
