Ann Sheffield is a Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), part of the College of Letters and Science. She holds a graduate degree from the Yale School of Drama and has over three decades of professional experience in theatre design. Her expertise spans set and costume design, collaborating with notable institutions like the Indiana Repertory Theatre and award-winning playwright James Still.
Key professional highlights include scenic designs for Broadway productions such as Anything Goes (Patti LuPone revival) and Waiting for Godot (Mike Nichols), alongside Tony Walton. Her work has been showcased at venues like La Jolla Playhouse, Goodspeed Opera House, and Ford’s Theatre.
