Ann Linder is the Associate Director of Policy and Research at Harvard Law School's Animal Law & Policy Program, with a focus on zoonotic diseases and their intersection with animal law, public health, and conservation. She holds a JD from Stanford Law School and a Master of Science in Animals and Public Policy from Tufts University, where she now teaches Animal Law.

Her research examines how live animal markets, livestock supply chains, and wildlife trade contribute to zoonotic disease transmission. She advocates for regulatory reforms to mitigate risks through interdisciplinary collaboration across 14 countries. Ann’s publications highlight trends in zoonotic disease prevention, biodefense strategies, and legislative analysis. Recent works include a 2024 global synthesis of animal markets and a 2023 U.S.-focused study on zoonotic risks.
