Ann-Kathrin Koster

Ann-Kathrin Koster is a political scientist affiliated with the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society and a member of the research group 'Technology, Power and Domination' since September 2022. She studied Political Science, Sociology, and Intercultural Gender Studies at the University of Trier and Georgetown University, Washington D.C.

Her research focuses on the intersection of democratic theory and technology, particularly the procedures and effects of artificial intelligence. She previously worked as a doctoral fellow at the Schaufler Lab at TU Dresden (2020–2022) and is currently on parental leave until the end of 2024, during which e-mail responses are limited.

She is also involved in feminist net politics as part of netzforma* e.V. Her work addresses critical issues in digitalization, democracy, and power dynamics.
