Ann Chih Lin is the Director of the Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies and holds the Kenneth G. Lieberthal and Richard H. Rogel Professorship of Chinese Studies. She is an Associate Professor of Public Policy and Political Science at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is affiliated with the Donia Human Rights Center and the International Institute.
Education:

Research Interests: Dr. Lin specializes in policy implementation, focusing on immigration policies (e.g., guestworker programs, legalization), political beliefs of immigrant communities (particularly Arab Americans), and anti-poverty policies with a focus on racial disparities. She also studies prison rehabilitation and desegregation policies, having contributed to landmark cases like Freeman v. Pitts.
