Dr. Ankita Garg is a Research Fellow (Post Doctoral Research Associate) in the Department of Computer Science at Durham University. She holds a BE in Electrical Engineering (2017) and an ME in Power Systems (2019) from Thapar University, India, and previously worked as a research scholar at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. She is concurrently pursuing her PhD at Durham University, bridging power systems engineering with artificial intelligence.
Her research centers on carbon-intelligent computing to address uncertainties in renewable energy systems. Key focus areas include:
- Machine learning applications for energy decarbonization
- Virtual power plant optimization
- Digital twin development for energy infrastructure
- Uncertainty quantification in power grids
- Renewable energy integration
She has received significant recognition including:
