Hannah Brennan

Hannah Brennan is a Senior Research Fellow in AI at the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre (NZIIC) of Teesside University and Managing Director/Co-Founder of Seer, a data innovation agency specializing in sustainability solutions. Her work integrates artificial intelligence and data analytics into decarbonization pathways for logistics, digital trade, and infrastructure systems.

Education:

• Master in International Development, SOAS University of London (2023)

Research Focus: Brennan specializes in AI-driven greenhouse gas emissions reporting, NLP automation for trade/customs workflows, and embodied emissions analysis in supply chains. She investigates intersections between large language models, operational research, and sustainability to enable just transitions in freight, maritime logistics, and industrial decarbonization.
