Anju Tripathi Peters, MD, MS is a Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine with joint appointments in the Department of Medicine and Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. She serves as the Director of Clinical Research in the Division of Allergy-Immunology and the Medical Director of the Northwestern Medicine Clinical Research Unit, playing key roles in advancing clinical research in airway diseases.
Her research is centered on chronic rhinosinusitis and its comorbidities, including allergic rhinitis, asthma, and immunodeficiencies. She has led the development of national practice guidelines as Chair of the Joint Task Force for Practice Parameters on Rhinosinusitis. Her work spans clinical trials, biologics, and mechanistic studies in upper airway inflammation, with a strong emphasis on translational research.
Dr. Peters has published extensively, with recent articles focusing on biologics, neutrophil biology, and chronic cough. Her publications reveal a strong trend toward precision medicine and real-world outcomes in chronic airway diseases, particularly using advanced techniques like single-cell RNA sequencing and evaluating novel biologic therapies.
She has received multiple honors, including:

She serves on the editorial board of the American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy, currently as Deputy Editor.
She is affiliated with the Center for Human Immunobiology and the Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM), and practices clinically at the Sinus and Allergy Center of Northwestern University. Her hospital affiliations include Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
