Anja Moum Rieser is a Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Division of History of Science, Technology, and Environment since May 2021. She serves as the centre coordinator for the Environmental Humanities Laboratory (EHL), where she manages events, workshops, educational activities, and communications.
Education:
- Master's in Social-Ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development, Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University
Research Interests: Her work bridges environmental humanities and sustainable development, focusing on urban nature, access to natural resources, and community-driven responses to climate change. Key themes include environmental justice, climate justice, human-nature connections, and biocultural diversity.
Projects: Anja coordinates the Atlas of the Other Worlds, an open-access archive of grassroots and municipal climate action initiatives. She also leads the Occupy Climate Change School for early-career researchers, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to climate justice and storytelling. She organized the Crosscuts Environmental Humanities Festival for Film & Text (2022, 2024) and contributes to the Mistra Sport & Outdoors program, analyzing environmental policies in Stockholm County.
Teaching: Anja has taught the course Swedish Society, Culture and Industry in Historical Perspective (AK1213).
