Anja Leefeldt is a Senior Instructor and Assistant Department Chairperson in the Department of Health Behavior and Nutrition Sciences at the University of Delaware. She also serves as the Dietetic Internship Site Supervisor. Her academic journey began at the University of Delaware, where she earned her BS in Dietetics and completed the Dietetic Internship. She later obtained her MS in Human Nutrition from the same institution.
Her primary research interest focuses on evidence-based medical nutrition therapy in inpatient settings. Professionally, she has held board positions in the Delaware Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and was honored with the Outstanding Dietitian of the Year Award in 2017.
Leefeldt teaches courses such as HBNS 200 Nutrition Concepts, HBNS 250 Introduction to the Nutrition Care Process, and supervises practicum courses for dietetics students. Her roles in education and clinical practice reflect her commitment to bridging academic theory with practical healthcare applications.
