Anja Janoschka

Anja Janoschka is a Professor at the Lucerne School of Business (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, HSLU), leading the Institute of Communication and Marketing (IKM). She holds academic leadership roles including heading the BA-Major Marketing program and coordinating the CAS International Marketing & Communication program with international partners like the University of Baltimore and American University of Sharjah.

Her education includes a PhD from the University of Zurich and studies in Business Administration, English, and Hispanic Studies at Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen. She has held visiting professorships and research roles at institutions such as the University of Freibourg, University of Giessen, and international collaborations with universities in Namibia, UAE, Spain, Finland, and Denmark.

Research focuses on corporate and marketing communications, digital marketing, social media strategies, and sustainability in energy sectors. Notable projects include ‘EcoNudge’ for energy efficiency investments and ‘EkoFlex’ for customer-optimized energy flexibility. She has authored/co-authored books like MARKETING: KONZEPTE, STRATEGIEN, INSTRUMENTE, CONTROLLING and Verständliche Vermarktung von Strom aus erneuerbaren Energien.

Professional activities include jury roles for Swiss Effie Awards, board memberships (e.g., Mediaschneider AG), and mentoring startups via Start-up Chile. She also serves as a reviewer for journals like Journal of Pragmatics and conferences such as EMAC.
