Anita Arora, MD, MBA, MHS, is an Associate Professor of Medicine (General Medicine) and Associate Chief Population Health Officer at Yale School of Medicine. She holds appointments in both the Department of Medicine and the broader Yale School of Medicine, focusing on improving healthcare access, quality, and coordination through population health strategies. Dr. Arora completed her undergraduate studies at Pomona College, earned her MD and MBA from Dartmouth College, and performed her Internal Medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. She furthered her expertise through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program.
Her clinical practice includes primary care at the New Haven Primary Care Consortium and inpatient care at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she mentors residents and medical students. Research interests center on population health, well-being, healthcare system optimization, and reducing disparities through initiatives like electronic consult programs and mental health integration. Notable achievements include leading the Enhanced Referral and eConsult program, which streamlined specialty consultations and expanded access during the pandemic.
Dr. Arora’s publications span population health management, healthcare equity, and telemedicine innovations, with a focus on leveraging data to drive systemic improvements.
