Anish Jantrania

Anish Jantrania is a Professor and Extension Specialist at Texas A&M University, jointly appointed in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences and College of Engineering. His research evaluates sustainable water infrastructure options for onsite and small community systems, focusing on wastewater treatment, reuse, desalination, and water economics.

Notable projects include developing subsurface effluent dispersal systems for challenging soil conditions, creating regulatory standards for onsite wastewater systems, and implementing decentralized systems benefiting low-income communities. He has led multi-state research initiatives including the National Onsite Demonstration Project funded by the EPA.

Jantrania has extensive field experience designing onsite systems and small-diameter pressure sewers, and has contributed to revising state wastewater regulations. His extension work delivers technical guidance to communities and develops educational programs for undergraduates in water reuse technologies.
