Jeremy S Guest is a Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor and David C. Crawford Faculty Scholar at the University of Illinois. He holds additional roles as Levenick Professor and Director of the Levenick Center for a Climate-Smart Circular Bioeconomy, and serves as Associate Director for Research at the Institute for Sustainability, Energy, and Environment. He is also an Affiliate of the Center for Social & Behavioral Science.
His research focuses on sustainable biofuels, resource recovery from wastewater, and circular economy systems. Key areas include biorefinery design, life cycle assessment, and innovative sanitation technologies. Guest’s work emphasizes integrating environmental sustainability with economic feasibility, particularly in contexts like decentralized water reuse systems and non-sewered sanitation solutions.
