Dr. Anindya Raychaudhuri is a Senior Lecturer at the School of English, University of St Andrews. His research focuses on postcolonial studies, oral history, and the cultural legacies of the 1947 India/Pakistan Partition. He has published widely on topics such as diaspora narratives, social media’s role in dissent, and the intersection of memory and identity in South Asian literature and cinema.
His academic work includes books like Narrating South Asian Partition: Oral History, Literature, Cinema (2019) and edited volumes such as Partitions and Their Afterlives (2019). He has held a British Academy-funded research project (2012–2014) exploring collective memory of Partition in the South Asian diaspora. His recent activities include participation in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and lectures on Partition narratives.
Dr. Raychaudhuri’s research engages with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to cultural preservation and equitable societies. He is affiliated with the Centre for the Critical Reimagining of Human Rights at St Andrews.
