Anil K. Sood

Anil K. Sood, M.D., is a Professor and Vice Chair for Translational Research in the Departments of Gynecologic Oncology and Cancer Biology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He co-leads the Ovarian Cancer Moon Shot Program and directs the Blanton-Davis Ovarian Cancer Research Program. Dr. Sood earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina and focuses on ovarian cancer mechanisms, including angiogenesis, metastasis, and RNA delivery strategies.

His research also explores the role of stress hormones in cancer progression and nanoparticle-based therapies. Dr. Sood has received prestigious awards such as the Hunter Award and is a member of prominent scientific societies like ASCI and AAAS.
