Angie Whalen is a Clinical Professor in the School Psychology program at the University of Oregon's College of Education. She serves as the School Psychology Program Director and Practicum Coordinator, with expertise in clinical supervision, ethics, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Dr. Whalen holds dual credentials as a board-licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist, bringing practical experience from urban and rural public school settings to her academic role.

- B.A. in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude, 1996), University of St. Thomas
Her research focuses on professional practices in school psychology, emphasizing ethical frameworks, multicultural supervision, and data-informed interventions. Recent publications explore ethical decision-making models, social media professionalism, and collaborative practices in RTI (Response to Intervention) systems.
Scientific awards include the University of Oregon College of Education Excellence in Supervision Award (2017) and multiple grants/fellowships from the U.S. Department of Education. She has also received recognition for conference support (APA, 2016) and state-level service (Oregon School Psychologists Association, 2015).
Dr. Whalen coordinates Oregon TSPC school psychologist licensure programs, provides clinical supervision for practicum experiences, and advises specialist-level students. She previously worked as a school psychologist and staff development trainer at Heartland Area Education Agency 11, and as a school psychologist/counselor in Vancouver Public Schools.
