Angelo NICOSIA is a fixed-term Researcher (Type A) at the Department of Chemical Sciences, University of Catania, with a focus on Industrial Chemistry (CHIM/04). His work centers on designing polymer nanocomposites for environmental remediation using sustainable energy sources.
- Education: PhD in Materials Science and Nanotechnology (2021), Master's in Materials Chemistry (2017, cum laude), Bachelor's in Industrial Chemistry (2014, cum laude), all from University of Catania
Nicosia's research spans supramolecular polymer chemistry, symmetry breaking phenomena, and photocatalytic pollutant degradation. He has contributed to projects like MaMeX for xenobiotic contaminant removal and developed space-resistant polymer materials. His technical expertise includes TGA/DSC, GPC, FT-IR, UV-Vis, NMR, and MALDI-TOF.
