An internationally acclaimed violinist, she performs globally with the Ahn Trio across venues from the White House to Vienna's Musikverein and has released nine critically praised albums.

- B.A., The Juilliard School, 1993
- M.A., The Juilliard School, 1995
Her research and teaching focus on violin/viola performance techniques, chamber music pedagogy, and expanding classical traditions through contemporary works. She emphasizes innovative string instruction while preserving foundational techniques, mentoring students in both classical repertoire and experimental collaborations.
Recent creative works demonstrate a trend toward interdisciplinary fusion, blending classical foundations with modern dance, film, and cross-genre partnerships. These projects span contemporary classical interpretation, digital media integration, and reimagined chamber music formats that challenge traditional performance boundaries.
Her accolades include Germany's ECHO Award for the album Dvorak, Suk and Shostakovich and Montana State University's Provost Distinguished Lecturer honor (2022).
- ECHO Award (2019)

A dedicated educator named MSU's 'Most Valuable Professor' and 'Professor of the Month', she mentors students through applied lessons and chamber ensembles while conducting masterclasses across six continents. She actively serves the Montana Arts Council and Bozeman Symphony board, connecting academic work with community arts development.
As artistic director of the Big Sky Classical Music Festival, she curates performances featuring artists like Matt Haimovitz and Rachel Barton Pine. The Ahn Trio (with her sisters) remains central to her work, documented in films like The Hive and recordings such as Blue, while collaborations with figures from Emmylou Harris to DJ Spooky showcase her genre-defying approach.
