Dr. Angelique Howell is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology’s School of Teacher Education and Leadership. Her work focuses on youth-adult partnerships, student voice, and participatory action research to address disengagement in marginalized communities. She holds a PhD in Sociology of Education from the University of Queensland (UQ), recognized with the Dean’s Award for Outstanding HDR Theses (2016).
Dr. Howell’s research emphasizes empowering youth through participatory methodologies, particularly in high-poverty contexts. She has led projects such as the Youth-Adult Participatory Action Research initiative and contributed to the Young Families Connect program supporting pregnant/parenting students.
