Angelika Krūmiņa is a Professor in the Department of Infectology at Rīga Stradiņš University. Her work focuses on chronic infectious diseases, virology, and autoimmune mechanisms. She holds Expert roles in Clinical Medicine with the Latvian Council of Science (2016-2025).

Recent work emphasizes digital biomarkers for ME/CFS progression, microbiome studies in ulcerative colitis, and viral infection-induced autoimmune mechanisms. She leads projects like VirA (EU Horizon 2020) and the ME/CFS biobank initiative.
