Angela Vickerstaff

Dr. Angela Vickerstaff is a Principal Lecturer and Assistant Head of Department (Marketing) at the Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, where she has worked since 1994. She provides academic leadership, manages staff recruitment and development, and enhances teaching practices through strategic initiatives.

Her research focuses on marketing in transition economy firms and case-based research, with recent collaborative work on Coaching and Mentoring frameworks for students. This international research explores civic engagement and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. She also supervised DBA and PhD students in marketing and tourism.

Angela has held cross-university roles, including Academic Practice Consultant at NTU (2016–2017), supporting teaching excellence and employability integration. Since 2017, she has been a Consultant for Advance HE, designing leadership programs aligned with the UK Professional Standards Framework.

Her professional contributions include leading the HEFCE/NTU-funded Multidisciplinary Master's project (2014–2017), which personalized postgraduate learning and emphasized work-based experience. She line-manages marketing lecturers and coordinates learning and teaching strategies.
