Angela Shoup

Dr. Angela Shoup is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she lectures in the AuD program. She serves as Director of the Division of Communicative & Vestibular Disorders, overseeing audiologists and speech-language pathologists across multiple clinical sites, including Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children’s Medical Center, and pediatric clinics in Irving-Coppell, Mesquite, and Plano. Her clinical services focus on state-of-the-art care for auditory and vestibular disorders, including newborn hearing screening programs.

Education:

• BS in Speech-Pathology and Audiology (UT Dallas)
• MS in Communication Disorders (UT Dallas)
• PhD in Human Development and Communication Disorders (UT Dallas)

Research interests center on diagnostic audiology, implantable hearing devices, and developmental auditory processes. Her clinical leadership spans administrative roles managing interdisciplinary teams across multiple healthcare facilities.
