معرفی
Prof. Dr. Angela Rizzi is a Professor for Experimental Physics at the University of Göttingen since 2002. Her research focuses on the electronic properties of semiconductor hetero- and nanostructures, particularly spintronics and semiconductor nanowires. She has held guest positions at institutions like the University of Aix-Marseille II and Forschungszentrum Jülich.
- 1981: Laurea in Physics, University of Modena, Italy
- 1987: PhD in Physics, Politecnico di Milano, Italy
Her experimental work includes molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) growth of GaN and InN nanowires, lithography, dry etching, and advanced analysis techniques. Key projects involve diluted magnetic semiconductors, AlGaN/GaN-based two-dimensional electron gases, and nanowire applications in solar cells.
The 15 most recent publications highlight interdisciplinary expertise, spanning high-energy physics (e.g., Higgs boson searches, top quark polarization, strange hadron production) and semiconductor research (MBE heterostructures, GaN/InN optical properties, nanowire electrical behavior). Several articles address the chiral magnetic effect and detector performance in Large Hadron Collider experiments.
- 1988-89: Humboldt-Research Fellow, Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany
Angela Rizzi's career includes collaborations at Forschungszentrum Jülich (1988-2002) and academic roles at the University of Modena (1990-2002). Current projects emphasize semiconductor spintronics and nanostructure growth, with contact via arizzi@gwdg.de.
