Angela Reinoehl

Angela Reinoehl is a Senior Lecturer in Art History and Core Curriculum at the School of Art and Design, Southern Illinois University (SIU). She holds a BA in Art History from Indiana University and an MA in Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her research focuses on challenging traditional interpretations of feminist performance art from the 1970s and exploring modern/contemporary craft practices.

Reinoehl has served as Curator of Exhibitions at Craft Alliance in St. Louis and contributes regularly to Art St. Louis Magazine. She combines academic teaching with independent curation and arts consulting, emphasizing interdisciplinary connections between historical and contemporary art forms.

Her professional activities include curatorial work and academic writing, with a strong emphasis on feminist art historiography and critical theory.
