Angela Howe serves as a Lecturer at the UC Irvine School of Law and Legal Director of the Surfrider Foundation. She holds an adjunct role in Ocean and Coastal Law and advises the California Lawyers Association’s Environmental Law Section. Her professional background includes legal work at Hogan & Hartson LLP and leadership in environmental advocacy.

Research Interests: Angela focuses on coastal law, environmental litigation strategy, and ocean conservation. She actively addresses plastic pollution, sea level rise impacts, and beach access rights through legal advocacy and policy development.
Advising & Professional Engagement: Angela mentors law students and volunteers with non-profits. She served as Chair of the Clean Seas Coalition for seven years and advises the United Nations Environment Assembly on oceanic issues.
