Dr. Angela Flynn is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Population Health at RCSI. She holds a BSc in Pharmacy from Trinity College Dublin, an MSc in Nutrition, and a PhD in maternal health from King's College London. Her academic career includes a Lecturer position at King's College London (2021–2023) before moving to RCSI in 2023.
Her research focuses on optimizing pregnancy preparation, improving outcomes for women at metabolic risk, and leveraging community pharmacies for public health interventions. Key themes include gestational diabetes prevention, postpartum care for pregnancy complications, and intergenerational health patterns. She employs large datasets and qualitative methods to inform policy and clinical practice.
