Angela Chu

Dr. Angela Chu is a Lecturer in the Hospitality & Tourism Subject Group at the Business School of Edinburgh Napier University. She serves as Programme Leader for the Global Online BA Business Management and is an academic representative on the Business School Provision Committee. Her work bridges academia and industry through extensive research, teaching, and professional engagement in hospitality and tourism.

Dr. Chu’s research focuses on revenue management, hospitality analytics, tourism development, and event management. Her work spans cruise tourism, hotel revenue strategies during crises, augmented reality in hospitality, and cultural tourism. She is passionate about applying academic insights to real-world industry challenges, particularly in pricing, strategy, and consumer behavior.

Her recent publications reflect a strong trend in applying revenue management principles across sectors, especially in cruise and hotel industries, with increasing attention to digital innovation, pandemic impacts, and cross-cultural consumer behavior. She frequently publishes in top-tier journals such as the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research.
