Associate Professor Angela Y. Chang is affiliated with the Danish Centre for Health Economics (DaCHE) and the Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS) at the University of Southern Denmark. She holds a ScD in Global Health from Harvard University and conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). Her research focuses on global health equity, health economics, and health metrics, with a particular emphasis on reducing health and wealth inequalities through evidence-based policy. Notable projects include measuring population aging impacts and quantifying the economic burden of disease. She collaborates with global health agencies like the World Bank and UNICEF.
Education: Master’s from Johns Hopkins University, Doctorate from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and postdoctoral training at IHME, University of Washington.
Research interests span global health systems, cost-benefit analysis of health interventions, and quantitative methods applied to health equity.
