Angela Anima-Korang

Dr. Angela Anima-Korang serves as Associate Professor of Communication and Director of the Master of Arts in Strategic Communication (MASC) program at East Texas Baptist University's School of Communication and Performing Arts. With over a decade of experience in higher education, she specializes in student academic success and mentorship.

Her educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Catholic University College of Ghana
• Master of Science in Mass Communication from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
• Master of Public Health from Southern Illinois University Carbondale
• Doctor of Philosophy in Mass Communication & Media Arts from Southern Illinois University Carbondale

Dr. Anima-Korang's research centers on applying communication strategies to improve health outcomes for underserved populations, with recent focus on multicultural and educational challenges during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Her collaborative book chapter for the Handbook of Research on Contemporary Issues in Multicultural and Global Education (IGI Global) exemplifies this work.

She co-founded MARP-U (dedicated to student excellence) and MeetMentors (an international student mentoring organization), reflecting her commitment to advising. Her Christian faith and values fundamentally shape her academic philosophy and student interactions.
