Aneta Tyc is a distinguished Professor at the University of Lodz, serving in the Department of European, International and Collective Labour Law within the Faculty of Law and Administration. She is an internationally recognized scholar specializing in international, European, comparative, anti-discrimination, and procedural labour law.
Professor Tyc earned her doctoral degree in law in 2015 with a distinguished dissertation on 'Burden of Proof in Labor Law,' published as a monograph that received an individual award from the Rector of the University of Lodz. She achieved her habilitation in 2022 with the monograph 'Global Trade, Labour Rights and International Law: A Multilevel Approach,' which secured multiple prestigious awards including first place in the Institute of Justice competition for the best habilitation thesis in legal sciences (2023). Her scholarly work spans over 100 publications across five languages and includes significant contributions to international legal discourse through presentations at more than 50 international conferences worldwide.
Her research portfolio demonstrates exceptional depth in international labor standards, trade-labor linkages, and workers' rights protection. Professor Tyc has led numerous research projects including 'Towards the EU-Australia and the EU-New Zealand Free Trade Agreements: The Assessment of Labour Provisions' (2023-2024) and 'The Collective Agreement as a Measure of Flexibilisation of Labour Law – a Comparative Study.' Her scholarly impact extends through extensive international collaborations, having conducted research at over 20 universities globally including Oxford, Sydney, and Pompeu Fabra.

She also maintains an active legal practice, providing services to companies in Turin, Italy, for over a decade while simultaneously contributing to academic knowledge through her international teaching engagements with institutions in Italy and Spain via Erasmus+ programs.
