Anene Ejikeme is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Trinity University, specializing in Modern African History, Gender Studies, and Economic Development. She earned her Ph.D. from Columbia University and previously served as Director of the Pan-African Studies Program at Barnard College (2001-2003).

Her work spans interdisciplinary topics, including gender politics, colonial historiography, and sports as a lens for national identity. She has secured prestigious fellowships such as the NEH Chair in Humanities (2010-2011) and Hedgebrook Residency (2007).
