Andy Northcott is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Sociology at De Montfort University, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, affiliated with the School of Allied Health Sciences and the Institute of Allied Health Science / Institute of Health, Health Policy and Social Care. His research focuses on clinical culture and dementia care in acute hospital settings.

Northcott’s research explores the complexities of hospital ward environments for people living with dementia.
