Andy Meyer is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Norwegian at the University of Washington, specializing in Ecocriticism, Arctic Studies, and Scandinavian Literature. His research explores the relationship between literary imagination and wildness. He has held a Fulbright Roving Scholar position (2015-2016) in Norway, focusing on American Studies. He has taught at the University of Washington's English Department, Program on the Environment, and Nordic Studies at Luther College, Iowa.
Education includes a Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington (2010), an M.A. in English (2006), and a B.A. in English from Luther College (2004).
Research interests span Ecocriticism, Norwegian Poetry, Scandinavian Literature, and Arctic Studies.
