Andy Lawlor is a Lecturer of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. He serves as Director of Global MBA Projects and is affiliated with The William Davidson Institute, Center for South Asian Studies, and the International Institute. With a 44-year career at Ross, he pioneered the international expansion of the MAP program, evolving it from domestic projects in 1992 to over 36 global projects annually by 2006. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, strategic planning, and cross-industry market development.
Education & Background: Lawlor holds a fellowship from the National Science Foundation at Duke University and North Carolina College. His private-sector experience includes leadership roles as Chairman, President, and Vice President across multiple industries over 50 years.
Research & Impact: Central to his work is fostering global business collaboration through MAP, connecting students with 200+ organizations in over 40 countries. He has mentored thousands of MBA students and supervised 1,700+ projects since 1983.
Labs/Teams: Key contributor to the Ross MAP program, which integrates global project-based learning into the MBA curriculum.
