He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Texas Tech University and has over two decades of academic experience, alongside a U.S. Marine veteran background and CPA certification. His research focuses on auditing ethics, accounting technology (e.g., blockchain, XBRL), and historical professionalization of the accounting industry. Garcia has published extensively in journals like ISACA Journal and International Journal of Accounting and Information Management, emphasizing technological advancements and their ethical implications.
