Andy Felton

Andy Felton is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in the Counseling, Rehabilitation & Human Services Department within the College of Arts & Human Sciences. A Wisconsin native, he joined UW-Stout in 2016 after completing his Ph.D. at the University of Wyoming.

• Education: Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision (University of Wyoming), Ed.S. in Community Counseling (James Madison University), B.A. in Psychology (University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire)
• Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (WI), Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Acudetox Specialist

Research & Teaching Interests focus on creative and expressive methods, clinical supervision, and counseling pedagogy. His clinical expertise includes play therapy, filial therapy, and interpersonal process work.

Previously, he worked part-time at a university counseling center, providing process groups and individual counseling. He also has experience in private practice, offering play therapy and counseling to diverse populations.
