Andy Bardill is Professor of Product Design and Engineering and Director of redLoop Design and Innovation Centre at Middlesex University's Faculty of Science and Technology. His expertise spans product/service design, innovation, and technology development, practiced through industry collaborations and interdisciplinary research.
He has secured over £8M in research funding for projects including CRADL (Horizon 2020), PNEUMACRIT (EPSRC), and CORLeiT (UKRI COVID response). Research outputs focus on medical devices like wearable EIT systems for neonatal monitoring and wellbeing-centered design frameworks.
Current projects include thoracic shape modeling for infants and real-time electrical impedance tomography. Collaborations involve UCL, Cambridge, and healthcare institutions.
