André Roy is a distinguished Canadian geographer and Dean of the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo. He holds a Doctorate Honoris Causa from École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (2013) and has been recognized internationally for his contributions to fluvial geomorphology and environmental sciences. His academic journey includes a PhD from SUNY Buffalo (1982) and professorial roles at the Université de Montréal until 2011.
