André Patrão is an Assistant Professor of History and Theory of the Built Environment in the Department of Art History at Emory University. His research examines exchanges between architects and philosophers from the early 20th century to today, emphasizing ethical, aesthetic, and political dimensions of the built environment. Prior roles include teaching at ETH Zürich, Yale, and EPFL. He contributes to Khōrein: Journal for Architecture and Philosophy and collaborates with the International Society for the Philosophy of Architecture.
