André Fischer

André Fischer is an Assistant Professor of German and Director of Undergraduate Studies in German at Washington University in St. Louis. He holds a PhD in German Studies from Stanford University and previously taught at Auburn University. His research focuses on 20th-century German literature, film, and intellectual history, with an emphasis on the intersection of aesthetics and politics, modern mythmaking, and strategies of resistance.
