Prof. Dr. Andries D. van der Meer is a faculty member at the University of Twente, holding the position of Professor of Microphysiological Systems within the Department of Bioengineering Technologies in the Faculty of Science and Technology. His research focuses on the design and application of Organs-on-Chips, including models like Retina-on-Chip, Lung-on-Chip, and Heart-on-Chip, with an emphasis on integrating blood vessels into these systems. He has affiliations with the MESA+ Institute and TechMed Centre.
