Andria Shimi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cyprus, affiliated with the School of Economics and Management. She holds a BSc in Psychology (First Class Honours) from the University of Athens, a postgraduate degree in School Psychology from the University of Cyprus, an MSc in Psychological Research (Distinction) from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Oxford, supported by Bodossaki and Leventis Foundation fellowships.
Her research focuses on the development of attention, memory, and executive functions across behavioral, neural, and genetic levels in both typical and clinical populations. Notable awards include a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (2016–2018) and postdoctoral research roles at institutions such as the Medical Research Council (Cambridge), Sackler Institute (Cornell University), and the University of Edinburgh.
