Andria Michael

Andria Michael is a Lecturer in English and Comparative Literature at UCLan Cyprus, serving as Course Leader for the BA (Hons) English Language and Literature program. She holds a PhD in Classics from Royal Holloway, University of London (2017), alongside MA and BA degrees in Comparative Literature and English from prestigious UK institutions. Her research focuses on 20th-century English literature, comparative literature, critical theory, and the reception of ancient Greek drama in modern contexts.

Michael has held academic roles since 2014, including Visiting Tutor at Royal Holloway and Associate Lecturer at UCLan Cyprus before her current position. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and actively contributes to university governance through roles on the Research and Innovation Committee, Erasmus Committee, and Student-Staff Liaison Committee.

Her publications explore themes like political theatre, intertextuality, and the cultural significance of ancient Greek drama revivals. She has presented at numerous conferences, including the European Society of Modern Greek Studies and the Annual Meeting of Postgraduates in Ancient Literature.
