Andria Peterson

Dr. Andria Peterson serves as Executive Director of the EMPOWERED program at Roseman University’s College of Medicine and holds dual appointments as Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences (College of Medicine) and Department of Pharmacy Practice (College of Pharmacy). She is a Nevada state representative on the Patient Protection Commission and core member of the Nevada Perinatal Health Initiative, focusing on substance use disorder policies. Her work spans clinical pharmacy in neonatal/pediatric intensive care and co-founding EMPOWERED, a care coordination model for maternal substance use recovery.

Research & Interests: Public health, addiction recovery, maternal health, and substance use disorder interventions. Active in policy development for provider training in addiction identification. Teaching expertise includes infectious disease, endocrinology, pulmonology, and pediatrics.
