Andrew M. Peterson, PharmD, PhD, is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Saint Joseph's University and served as the John Wyeth Dean Emeritus. He has over 30 years of research experience in pharmacy management, health policy, and substance use disorders. His work spans medication compliance, health outcomes, medical cannabis policy, and opioid-related research.

Peterson specializes in health outcomes research and substance use disorders, including studies on medical marijuana laws’ impact on opioid-related deaths and cannabis use among teens. He leads educational initiatives on SBIRT, naloxone dispensing, and opioid safety. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research.
