Andrey L. Karamyshev

Dr. Andrey L. Karamyshev is an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, in the Department of Cell Biology & Biochemistry. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of human diseases, particularly neurodegenerative disorders and cancer, through the lens of protein synthesis regulation and quality control.

Recent Publications highlight his work on the RAPP pathway, SRP interactions in Leishmania, and protein misfolding in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases. His studies integrate in vivo and in vitro methodologies, including photo-crosslinking and iPINCH techniques.
